The Joy of the Lord

The Joy of the Lord– There is nothing like the Joy of the Lord. We all want joy, peace, and happiness in our lives. We have searched the world for it, we thought we found it, but they let us down. We might have thought we found in within ourselves, but we came to understand our weakness. We are made to experience joy and love in our lives, but sometimes it seems so fleeting. It’s only when you and I come to experience the inexpressible Joy of God that we receive everlasting joy. The Lord’s Joy overflows in our hearts and is made complete by the work of the Holy Spirit, it’s so wonderful. The world can’t give it, and the world can’t take it away.

Growing Under Grace

• Growing Under Grace – Is a teaching about God’s amazing grace, and how we were so far away from God until he extended his grace and mercy towards us. God being gracious and merciful is a part of who God is, and when he sent his Son into the world, he filled our Lord with all grace and wisdom so Christ would be gracious and merciful to us. We must take the time God grants us to grow our faith, and not continue to cover ourselves in sin. God has giving us an amazing opportunity to grow under his grace, we can’t waste the grace the Lord has given us. Let us grow and mature under the Grace of God while we have time. His Grace is an amazing experience, no amount of money can buy it.

Be Courageous

• Be Courageous – this is a teaching about how you and I need to be courageous for the Lord as we work on our salvation, growing into maturity as the Lord changes things in our lives. Where this world is heading there will be less and less people truly seeking and walking according to God’s Word. The Lord needs bold and courageous servants who will carry out his will, and not a servant who is concerned about their livelihood. The Lord needs courageous soldiers who will stand up for his spoken word. Let us humble ourselves before the mighty power of God so he will strengthen us so we can be bold and courageous for him.

Putting God First

• Putting God First - This teaching is about always putting God first in our lives. Even when life and relationships press against us, we still need to have faith to put God first. It doesn’t matter the reason we are not putting God first, he requires and demands that we come to him first in all situations and circumstance; before we listen to ourselves or others. We all have to see how we consistently put things before God, we do it every day. We cannot live outside of God’s Will as Christians, therefore we need to be discipline in our faith and inquire of God all the time, bringing everything before him, so he will bless us.

Who's Driving

• Who’s Driving – this teaching is about looking at our lives and determining who is really driving, even though we are Christians. The question is, are you still driving or have you fully surrendered yourself to Christ. Who is in control of your desires, motives, thinking, plans, your tongue, and what you do with your body? Is it You or God? This is so important to our spiritual grow, because we cannot grow if we are still in control, and have not surrender control to God. If we are still in control, there won’t be much difference between us and those of the world.

God Is With Us

• God is With Us – This teaching is to encourage those seeking God to continue working on your salvation. Christ Jesus told us that in this world we are going to have trouble, but take heart he has overcome the world. If we remain faithful, we can have confidence that God is with us all the way to the end. He is there for us through all life troubles. We don’t have to be afraid, we don’t have to shrink back, and we don’t have to transgress against God. We can have faith that God is faithful to those who love him, who believe in his Son, who trust in him, who receive his Spirit, and who obey his Word and Ways.

Being Changed

• Being Changed – Is a teaching about not looking for others to change first, but letting the Holy Spirit show us what God’s wants to change about us. This is not an easy step in growing our faith. We tend not want to examine ourselves, but examine others. But for us to grow in the Lord, we must allow the change that is needed in our lives to take place, allowing the Spirit to change any and everything that needs changing. It could be our talk, our walk, our behavior. or the way we act. We must welcome the changing power of God into our lives so we can grow in Christ Jesus.

Not My Will, But Yours

• Not My Will, But Yours – Is a teaching about coming to recognize the difference between God’s Will and ours. Especially after we have become a Christian and start serving the Lord, we can make the mistake that whatever we think or do is God’ Will. But we can only come to know God’s Will by him revealing it to us, therefore we need to keep seeking his will in every walk of our faith and journey in becoming a mature Christian. We need to have the same attitude as Christ, not my will Father, but yours.

God Is One

God Is One – Is a teaching about how we see God. There are many theories about God being one, some are based on scripture, while others are modification of scripture to promote their doctrine understanding of God. But if we take God’s Word as the only truth, then we would see that God is the creator of all things, therefore all things are of God. Sense all things are of God, then you and I being received by the Father through his Son Christ Jesus through reconciliation which took a way the veil of sin that separated us from God, can be one with him. Through our acceptance and obedience to Christ Jesus we who believe and love God, can be one with the Father and the Son

God's Loving Character

• God’s Loving Character – Is a teaching about working with the Holy Spirit to look at our character and nature to ensure we are growing and changing into the image of Christ Jesus. Without this transformation, our nature will continue to cause us to suffer while we are seeking God. Taking on the loving character of God will ensure we reach maturity in Christ Jesus by growing us and our faith. God’s loving character that is in Christ Jesus, must also be in us. The light of Christ must shine through us, so not only are we changed, but others will see and notice how much our character is like that of Christ Jesus

God's Protection

• God’s Protection – is about learning how to live under God’s protection. One of the things that happens once we become a Christian is, we assume we are automatically put under God’s protection. But if we look into scripture it would become clear that we must seek God’s protection so we are shielded from the arrows of the devil, and our enemies. God’s does not extend his protection so we can keep on sinning, but to give us time to overcome our sin, and become more faithful and obedient to God.  

The Race

• The Race – whether we want to admit it or not, we are all in a race. Some of us are running to obtain everything we can in this world, hoping when it’s all said and done we will find joy and happiness. While others of us have come to understand that running a race to achieve things of this world could never bring us the peace, joy, and love we seek. We need to think about the race we are running to ensure everything we do is preparing us to run our race so it leads to God. We can’t waste time running our race hoping towards the end we can jump over and start running a race for God, we won’t make it in this way. We need God to prepare us for the race he has marked out for us, we need to run the race his way, all the way to the end.  

No Time For God

• No Time For God – Busy, busy …. We are all so busy, so we look for ways to shorten our time with God. We want the church service to be short, our prayers are short, our time studying God’s Word is short or none existing. We are too busy to spend time with God. God honors those who seek him, those who spend much time in prayer, and those who studies his Word. But for those who don’t have time for God, be assured God won’t have time for you. God’s Word is filled with scriptures teaching us about how we need to continuously seek the Lord so we can find him, so in our time of need, the Lord will answer our prayers. This requires you and I to spend a lot of time with God.

The Real You

• The Real You –This teaching is about realizing that we cannot grow our faith without being true to ourselves and with God. Today’s world is teaching us to be fake and false, but how can we serve God if we are not being true with who we really are? When our lives are based on the fake and false things that we wear, things we put on, and the things we do to ourselves that changes us into something that we are not. We must be true to ourselves, so we can be true to God. We know God only deals with truth, so if we want the Lord to answer our prayers, we better get real with God regarding who we are.

Crying Out To God

• Crying Out To God – is a teaching about learning to cry out to God in good and bad times so he knows our name and answer us. We can’t be the type of believer who allows pride to control our faith. Pride will make us stiff-neck and we won’t humble ourselves and cry out to God. We need to come before the Lord on bending knees, with our heart open, and tears flowing from our eyes. Crying aloud, Lord we have sinned, we have done wrong. Lord we cry out to you because you have blessed us in so many ways and we want to thank you. We need your grace and mercy Lord. With tears flowing from our heart, Lord hear us, harken to our cries.

All Glory Belongs To God

• All Glory Belongs To God – in following, sharing, and preaching God’s Word, we receive blessings and favored from the Lord, but praise that are received should not be attached to us, but return to the throne of God. You and I cannot keep any of God’s glory for ourselves, allowing others to be lifted up and praised. We know that all things good comes from God, and he deserves all the glory. If God provided for us, then he deserves the glory. If the Lord healed us, then he deserves the glory. If God made a way for us, then he deserves all the praise and glory. All glory, honor, and praise belongs to God.

No Turning Back

• No Turning Back - After we have established our faith correctly in the Lord, it is important that we grow and work on our salvation as taught by the Lord. We have to reach a point in our faith where no trouble, no loss, no situation, no circumstance can cause us to turn back to our old ways, to turn back to seeking things in this world. We have come too far, we can’t turn back now. We have overcome much through leaning on Jesus, we can’t turn away, we can’t turn back; we must continue to grow our faith through it all. If we turn back, we won’t be fit, we won’t be able to enter in God’s Kingdom if we turn back.

Personal Walk With God

• Personal Walk With God - This is a teaching about the importance of developing a personal walk with God, so we not only know him, but he knows us. It’s through a personal walk with the Lord that we are able to grow and mature. We are not in the Old Testament times when God accepted as one group of people. This is about you and I have a personal relationship, a personal walk with Christ Jesus so he won’t tell us he never knew us, and to get away from him. He will call us friend, because we walked with him, we followed the Lord.

Conditions of God

• Conditions Of God – is a teaching about how God has established conditions (If’s) in his word that we must adhere to for blessings and favor to flow unto us. The Lord has given us his love unconditionally, but he has not given us his favor and blessings unconditionally, we must examine our lives as it relates God’s Word and the conditions in which God the Father will bless us through his Son Christ Jesus. For all the blessings and favor of God is manifested in Christ, but we must follow, obey, and apply God’s Word to our lives to receive.

Only The Righteous

• Only The Righteous - This is a teaching about the importance of us working to become a righteous Child of God as we grow in faith. God called us, but we must work to become righteous in his eyes. It’s not about being perfect, it is about being able to walk in the righteousness God has called us through Christ. In God’s Word he shares his standards by which we must live, teaching us how to do away with that which makes us unworthy. It is in God’s Righteousness that we elevate our lives beyond what we can do, because we know there is no good us outside of what God has poured into us. It is through us taking upon God’s Righteousness through Christ Jesus that we come to experience and know God for ourselves. Through God’s Righteousness we will be judged; only the righteous will see God
