God’s Spoken Ways

Stubborn Heart

• Stubborn Heart – I know this message will not be well received, no one likes it when God speaks about our behavior and what’s in us, but what I am assigned to do is learn, and then share what has been taught to me. This teaching about recognizing and overcoming stubbornness that was developed in us from a young age, so we can move forward in Christ Jesus. Sometimes, it’s not easy to accept what God wants to say to us. We whether the Lord only speak of good things about us. How well we attend church, pay tithes and offerings, and how we sometimes help others. While the Lord does commend us for such things, he also knows what we are hiding. He knows what is in our heart, and the many ways we rebel. For us to establish our faith correctly in God, we have to be willing to listen and understand what God does not like about how we act and what we harbor in our heart. Christ Jesus came to set us from everything that binds us; this includes us having a stubborn heart that does not obey God. We must be truthful about our stubbornness and change. God is more than able to set us free from all stubbornness, but are we willing to let it go; we need to be free to serve the Lord.

God Reveals, Instructs, and Guides

• God Reveals, Instructs, and Guides Us – is a teaching to help us to receive God’s plan for our lives. We need the Lord to reveal his Word and truth to us, to instruct us in his ways, and guide us through this sinful, selfish, and dangerous world. Unfortunately, not many of us want God to be involved in our lives so heavily. We still want the freedom to do as we please, neglecting the consequences of us not walking as the Lord desires. Not only will we suffer, but those we are connected to us will also suffer. They trusted in our connection to Christ Jesus, but they did not understand that we stopped seeking revelations, instructions, and guidance from God a long time ago. This is why God through Christ Jesus is calling for us to return to him. We must be willing to receive revelations, instructions, and guidance from the Lord. We must turn from our ways, and follow the ways of God. The Lord will instruct us, he will guide us, Christ will reveal the things of God to us, if we seek him all the days of our lives. If we do what is pleasing to the Lord, our lives will be spiritually and physically enriched. We should raise up every morning seeking the Lord’s instructions, praying to receive revelations, and desiring guidance so we can follow the Lord all our days.

Aligning With God

• Aligned With God – is a message to about making sure we have our faith aligned with God. Though we love the Lord, many times our lives are not aligned with God. Just because we came to the altar, just because we attend Church, that in itself does not demonstrate that our steps have been ordered by God. God wants us to align our lives around his Word, Son, and Spirit so what we receive from God will bless us and others. Aligning ourselves with God is not easy, it’s a long journey. We start out with no connection to God, then we hear a call, we have an experience and we feel a connection to Christ Jesus, but our lives are not aligned with the Lord yet. We have to establish our faith and grow, so by each passing day, we become more willing to allow the Holy Spirit to teach and change our thinking so we align ourselves with God through Christ Jesus. Our plans get aligned with God, our desires get aligned with God, our thinking get aligned with God, our hope get aligned with God, and our life get aligned with God through Christ. Then we know that we know the Lord for ourselves. Glory to God.

Establishing Our Faith

• Establishing Our Faith – is a teaching to about making sure we have our faith established correctly in God. We have to be honest with ourselves, it’s very easy for us to have many things built into our faith that is not of God. Then when those things fail us, we lose all hope in God. But God says we should only have our faith in him, and not in someone else, or something else. To have our faith correctly established in God, we have to keep to his word even if we don’t like what it says. Even if it requires we change what we like and desire to do. We need to establish our faith in God and in God alone. We cannot establish our faith by mixing God’s Word with philosophies and theories we have made up or received. To establish our faith, we must stay with God, we must stay with his Word, we must stay with his Son Christ Jesus, and we must stay with the Holy Spirit. Our faith must be established in God, and in God alone.

Lost Soul

• Lost Soul – is a teaching on how our souls were lost, we were separated from God. While this is not something many of us think is a reality for us, God Word ensures us that before we came to accept Christ Jesus as Lord of our lives, our souls were lost, disconnected from God. Even though we may have been taught about God from an early age, we had not accepted, nor walked in the Ways of God. We knew of the Lord, but we lived separate and apart from the teaching of God the Father and Christ Jesus. When the Lord knocked at our door, we did not answer. Once we give our soul to the Lord, we have to continue to seek God with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our body, and with all our soul. Our soul being saved is way more important than money, possessions, fame, or healing. This world is not our home, this body is temporary; our soul is what will receive eternal life and enter into God’s kingdom. Our soul is what needs saving, nothing we brought, purchased, or made will crossover from death to live, only our soul. Our soul is what’s at stake, let no one fool you into thinking its anything else God is interested in saving.

God's Love

• God’s Love – is a teaching about love. We all desire to love someone and be loved. This desire starts from an early age, we either experience wonderful love from our parents, or we may not have experienced love at all. This experience shapes how we define and operated in love. Neither of these experiences can ever teach us about God’s Love. We only come to know the world’s kind of love, which tends to make us a self-serving, self-seeking, and selfish kind of person. Believe me, I came from a loving home, I thought I knew what love was and how to love others. Then the Lord taught me through his Son, Word, and Spirit about his love. I had to accept the fact that the world’s kind of love is nothing like God’s Love. I had to learn how to operate in the love of God, this took some time, overcoming my misunderstanding of Love. Once we know God’s Love, then we can operate in it, allowing it to change us, how we see and feel about ourselves and others, and how they see and feel about us. God’s Love never fails, it overcomes, it forgives.  

New Beginning

• New Beginning – is a teaching about how we need to receive the new beginning God has given us. We have tried time and time again to create a new beginning for ourselves, but whatever we created did not sustain us. Many of us have accepted a new beginning found in Christ Jesus, but we have not walked in what God has given us. We have to take the new beginning we receive through Christ Jesus seriously, and make every effort to live as the Lord has called us. What God establishes is meant to last, to endure, to overcome. Therefore, if the Lord has given us a new beginning then we have a responsibility to follow God’s Word and Ways so our new beginning in Christ Jesus will last. We will receive all the benefits God promised, if we fear and love him with all our heart, mind, body, and soul. We must remain firm in what God established in us through Christ Jesus.

 

 

The Light Of The World

·       The Light of the World – For us to become a mature Christian as the Lord has called us, we have to expose ourselves to the light of Christ Jesus. Darkness has overtaken the world, and because we came from the world, there are speaks of darkness in us that has to be exposed to the light so it is wiped away. The Lord taught us that he is the light of the world, and anyone who believes in him, must allow the light to shine through their lives so what is in us is made visible. This is so powerful, it’s not about light shining in the world, but Christ’s light shining in us and through us. It needs to shine through our mind, plans, desires, motive, emotions, feelings, beliefs, dreams, and what we hope in. It needs to shine through everything in us, so we become a child of light. Able to take the light of Christ Jesus and share it with those who are in darkness, exposing them to the light of Christ, so they too can be set free from darkness and become a child of the light as we are. We must be able to walk in light day and night, with not one toe in darkness.

Oneness Of God

·       Oneness Of God – In seeking God to grow into maturity, the Lord is calling us to a higher level of walk with him. God is calling for us to become one with him, through his Son Christ Jesus. By being one in the body of Christ, so we get to experience being one with the Father, because Christ and the Father are one, and we are called to be one in the body of Christ. The Oneness of God, the Father in Christ, Christ in the Father, Christ in us, and we in Christ Jesus is what scripture teaches us. We have to get pass elementary teachings and enter into mature and spiritual understanding to elevate our knowledge of the Farther and the Son as taught to us in the Gospel. We must study and show ourselves approved, walking in the light that Christ Jesus shared and revealed to us, so we are united in him and the Father. God makes everyone who is in Christ Jesus one with himself, everything of God, everything one with God.  

The Vine and Branches

·       The Vine and Branches– I have to share with you, it took me a minute to gain a Godly understanding about this message, though I have heard these scriptures many times.  It’s interesting how the world has deceived us into thinking we can be the “vine” of our life, where all nourishment flows. Its only until we run into trouble, fail, or become broken, that we begin to see and understand, that we don’t have control of anything, and we are not the “vine”. Its only after we are called by God, that we come to understand who the real “vine” is. Only after we accept Christ Jesus as the “vine” and God the Father as the gardener, can we become a mature Christian as God has called us to be.  I didn’t get it for a long time, I thought if I loved the Lord, and walked in his ways that was enough. I didn’t get it that all my nourishment, all my understanding, all my strength, all my plans, all my hope has to come from the “vine”, Christ Jesus. I didn’t get that Christ Jesus is the “vine” in which everything I need comes from, none of it comes from me, none of it comes from someone else. I didn’t get it, that I was a branch standing in the mist of other branches before the Lord. I didn’t get God the Father as the gardener, and he was pruning things away from me, and out of my life. I though I was suffering, but God was pruning me all this time.  

It Is Written

• It Is Written – We come to the Lord with a lot of different desires and opinions, including how God should be. There was a purpose for God having what he spoke written down. There are no errors in what was written, errors only come from our lack of understanding. If we were to accept all that was written, then it would change how we see and serve God and treat others. It was written so we could be set free, it was written so we come to understand love, it was written so we learn how to forgive, and to teach us how to walk from God. It was written so we come to believe and have faith in God’s one and only Son. It was written so we can experience the Lord, receive and show mercy, find forgiveness, be shown grace, so we can be graceful towards others, and serve the Lord faithfully. It was written on the day of judgement; we will have no excuse for not following the Written Word of God. It was written so we can be saved and experience eternity with God.

Blessed By God

• Blessed By God – is a teaching about how we can be blessed by God, if we are willing to walk right before him. When we give our lives to Christ, we come to be blessed by God. We have to understand the difference between blessing from the world, and blessings from God. God has requirements for us to receive his blessings. God’s blessings were proclaimed years ago, his blessings are tied to his promises, and fulfilled through Christ Jesus. God prepare blessings for each one of us, from the day we were conceived, therefore we have to seek blessings God planned for our lives, and not what we have planned for ourselves. God’s blessings are for greater and reaches way further than anything you and I can bless ourselves with. God’s blessings go beyond the material and financial blessings we seek all the time. His blessings are greater, they are more than you and I can imagine. In his blessings are prosperity, a great name, long life, good health, a numerous family, peace, love, joy, fulfillment, purpose, increase, gladness of heart, favor, and his presence. Can we bless ourselves to receive these things?

 

 

Inheritance

• Inheritance – is a teaching about understanding the great inheritance that we can receive through faith in Christ Jesus. Many times, after we come to know God the Father and our Lord Christ Jesus, we start trying to do good things on our own, working to build up things for ourselves, never seeking God’s Inheritance. We need to develop a desire to serve the Lord and not ourselves, so an inheritance is prepared for us in God’s Kingdom. There is nothing on earth that can compare to what God has prepared for those who overcome, follow his Son, and love him. God promised from the beginning, that we if walk upright before him, we will receive an inheritance that can never spoil, fade, or be taken away. God’s inheritance is far greater than anything you and I can image, create, or build. Its far better than anything we can provide for ourselves, its God’s Inheritance we seek.

 

 

Judgement

 

• Judgment – For us to pass through the coming Judgment, it’s critical that we have done all that is required for us to make it through based on God’s Word. I know this is not a subject many want to hear, but because I love you, and I must be faithful to God, I share this message. If we lived our lives as prescribed by the Lord, then all our prayers, all our service, all our devotion, all our tithes and offerings, all the repenting we have done, and all the work we have done on our salvation will pay off. It all comes to down to our ability to pass by the Judgment Seat of Christ. How did we live, what did we do will with all God blessed us with, after we accepted Christ? The question is how confident are we that we can stand before Christ and he will say “well done good and faithful servant”? The Day of Judgement is a personal accountability day; we all will stand before Christ with nothing but our lives to account for. No one will be there to speak for us, no church, no pastor, no family member, no friend. Jesus already knows our walk and our deeds; will we pass through?  

 

 

True Worshiper

• True Worshiper – What does it mean to be a true worshiper of God? We need to understand how the Lord receives our worship and praise. It’s important, so our worship of God is done in a way that it reaches the throne of God, and he looks done on us with favor. Worshiping God so others can be impressed with our worship; is worshiping God in vain. Worshiping just we can show others that we have some spiritual gift, is false worship of God. For the Lord says when we do things to impress others, we have already received our reward. We need to be a true worship of the Father and Christ Jesus, keeping our focus on God, so our praise and worship will be like sweet perfume that rises to God’s throne. It pleases God, because we worship the Lord in truth, with a clean mind, a pure heart, right motives, while keeping our bodies in check.    

 

 

Living A Christian Life

• Living A Christian Life – is a teaching about living a changed life. Have we been changed, are we living a Christian life that is acceptable to God? Our life has to start representing the things of God and Christ Jesus and stop representing the sinful ways of the world. We can no longer look like the world; we have to live as imitators of Christ Jesus. God has to be able to see his Spirit and his Son living inside of us. Living a Christian life is not easy, but it is about living full of tolerance, patience, love, forgiveness, overcoming. It is about deliverance and walking in the likeness of Christ. Sin has greatly increased in the world, how in the world can we escape? God said he will increase his grace so you and I can overcome and still live a Christian life in such a sinful world. We must preserver and overcome, we must live a life worthy of our calling. We must live a life that glorifies God, not ourselves, not others, and not this world. We must do and live our life in the way described in God’s Word so what we do, is pleasing to God.

 

 

Everlasting

• Everlasting – is a teaching about working and growing in the Lord so what we produce for the Lord is based on his everlasting promises, his everlasting power, and his everlasting authority. We must come to understand just how temporary things are that we create and produce. What we receive from the world is nothing compared to that which is everlasting in God. We have to be mindful of where we place our energy, time, money, and effort in seeking things, thinking somehow, it will last. Nothing will last that is not formed and shaped by God, for only in the Lord are things everlasting. We must seek everlasting things in God, who will bless us in this life and in the life to come.

 

 

The Peace Of God

• The Peace of God – Peace is what you and I have been desiring all our lives. We seek and pursue peace within ourselves, within others, and from this world. We start one thing, then we start another hoping it will bring peace, but its only temporary. That brings up the questions, where does real peace comes from? The kind of peace that can be enjoyed for years, for a lifetime. Accepting Christ does not mean we will automatically receive God’s Peace into our life. We have to become a person of peace, a peacemaker as the Lord instructs us to be. How are we doing? Do we promote peace, or do we cause hate, anger, fear, and frustrations? To have peace, we must be peacemakers.

Discipleship

• Discipleship – is a teaching about Discipleship. We have been called to follow Jesus, which means we must pick up our cross and do the same things Christ did. He came teaching us how to please the Father. Christ taught his Disciples and Apostles how to walk before God, how to be a true Disciple of his. We must understand that being called into Discipleship is not about us living in riches and prosperity, and teaching others to do the same. We must walk as Jesus did, who did not live on this earth in luxury, though he surely could have come fully crowned and dressed as a King. He came to show us how to live and serve God. He came to teach us Discipleship, so in the end, we will help save souls and be richly rewarded

 

 

Recieving From God

• Receiving From God – is about being in a place where we are able to receive from God. We want many things from God, but we must understand God does not pour into us if we are not living right before him. We must be the kind of person God will honor. We must become the type of person the Lord can instruct, one the Lord can change. God pours into those who understand that receiving from God is not just for us, but it’s to create overflow and be a blessing to others. God’s blessings are meant to be received so many gives God glory. We want to receive the full measure of what God has to offer each one of us.
